While people's concerns about the difficulties of everyday life are legitimate, nothing can justify behaviors that may threaten the lives of people and the safety of property, as well as the progress made in recent years in terms of stability and democratic progress in Haiti. The Core Group condemns all acts of violence and encourages all parties in Haiti to exercise restraint and respect the constitutional order. The Core Group urges national authorities to engage in a deep and inclusive dialogue with all other key actors in the country in order to restore calm, promote social cohesion and ensure the safety of people and property, in accordance with the rule of law . The Core Group assures Haiti of its support for the country's stability and sustainable development."
